I’m a first time mom researching cribs – I do not own this crib. However, I have been reading reviews and product ratings on Consumer Reports and all agree to avoid drop side cribs. “Recent recalls have raised concerns about the safety of cribs with drop sides. We recommend that you look first for a crib with stationary sides until more stringent and comprehensive safety standards are developed.” Babies R Us stopped carrying drop side cribs altogether because of recent recalls.

Product arrived as described. The crib is incredibly solid and safe. For the price, we could not have asked for a better crib.

Lovely product, I love the design and the look. Its very sturdy and really heavy. The wheels are a blessing or it would never get moved. I have no ongoing worry about the drop side causing problems as the design leaves the slider mechanism enclosed. The other great feature is you dont have to worry about your little one getting into the drawer underneath. It opens and closes smoothly but only when the side is in the up position. When the side is lowered, it completely blocks access to the drawer and its contents.

I almost lost my sight on computer screen trying to find cheap modern crib. I hate traditional furniture. But all the good looking modern cribs were around $350 and up! I finally found this one which looked modern and was quite cheap but reviews were not so good! I decided I would rather have a bad modern crib than any traditional, so I bought this one with no expectation on quality or looks (in person). The crib finally came and we put it together in 30 min. For $100 THIS IS FANTASTIC CRIB! Solid, good looking! Modern! I personally LOVE IT!

My husband and I love the modern look of the Scandi line. That was pretty much the only reason we purchased this set. Overall, the furniture is poorly made. The drawer is difficult to open and gets stuck at times. The drop side rail cracked after three or four months of use. Three months after that, it completely broke apart in the same area, so now we don’t have a drop side crib. Luckily my son didn’t fall out of his crib since the railing fell down while he was sleeping and I didn’t realize it until after he had already woke up. I contacted La Jobi and they are offering me a new crib in a different style since the Scandi is discontinued. However, I don’t like either of the cribs they are offering and neither has a drop side rail which I need since I’m pregnant and it’s really hard to bend over the railing while holding my son. This set was supposed to last through all three of our planned children, but now I’m going to have a completely mismatched nursery and baby #2 hasn’t even arrived yet. Overall, I’m majorly regretting ever getting this and wish we had forked over the extra money to get something of better quality.
