I’ll be honest: I personally don’t engineered compressed board. It’s used a lot in products and is cheaper than solid wood products. It’s great for now as I am a young father. In the future, I will do my best to afford quality solid wood pieces.
This is the best engineered wood piece of furniture that I have purchased. I’ve put together bookshelves and small cabinets, tables, etc. I was very pleased at the thoroughness of the manual, and the quality of the pieces used for this changing table, including the hardware and ‘joints’.
One complaint: it takes a little longer to piece this together, and it does take some fair experience to put together, and the manual can be better. All of these things are outweighed greatly by the quality of the piece.

It is very sturdy! My son loves to roll and roll when you are changing him or after his bath. And the South Shore changing table doesn’t wobble. My husband put it together in no time at all. I looks great. The drawers are solid. There were some scraps on the pieces when coming out of the box, but the pen provided covered them up very well, or they were hidden after construction. I would recommend this to anyone. We had to replace a hand me down, and we made the right choice.

I am incredibly happy with the South Shore Changing Table that we recently purchased. I put the table together all by myself at 6 1/2 months pregnant (had my husband flip it over and stand it up when needed). I read other reviews about difficulty putting it together, so was careful in the placement of the pieces. At one point, I skipped a step and came back to it because I wasn’t sure which way the pieces were supposed to go. I had the changing table fully assembled in a matter of 4 hours – 2 one night, and 2 the next. The table seems very sturdy and is a beautiful color (we bought the Royal Cherry). We have not yet used it, so will follow up if anything changes, but overall I am incredibly happy with this purchase.

I love the design of this changing table and bought it specifically because I felt it could grow up with my baby and be used as a book shelf in the future as opposed to looking like a regular changing table. The assembly was not difficult at all, although time consuming. I was missing 5 of the 9/16″ brown screws, but just went to Home Depot to get 1/2″ and they worked just fine. The color was WAY off. It is such a dark cherry that it doesn’t even look close to the rest of my cherry furniture. But that’s what I get for not getting it from the same manufacturer, I guess. Overall, I’m pleased with the design, not happy about the color and was expecting a bit more quality for the price.

This is a nice Changing Table for the price I paid. The only thing that I did not like is that it took a long time to put it together, the instruction are confused, otherwise for the price you paid you cannot expect for more.
